What is the difference between a title and a name? In association to a living being, a title describes the association of authority or job description of an individual. A name is a word or phrase that refers to a specific person or thing. Essentially, they can be utilized interchangeably. The key to their usage is who or what they are associated to.
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

"And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords." Revelation 19:16
The title and name of the Son of the Almighty Father can be utilized interchangeably. Today there are titles and names used in association to the Son as the Name that’s above all names. Christ, Messiah, Yeshua, Iesous, Jesus, Yahushua, and other translated names are used as the Name that’s above all names. Many debates have ensued do to the numerous translated Names used as the Name that’s above all names. Some of the debates have influenced many Believers to not use the Names Jesus, Yeshua, nor Yahushua. One example is centered on whatever language is being utilized such as a person that speaks English most likely doesn’t associate with the Name Yeshua and a person that speaks Hebrew most likely doesn’t associate with the Name Jesus. Think about it for a moment. When He walked upon the earth English was not utilized so the Name that was utilized was that of the language of that region of the earth. So why not use that Name? That’s one debate and there are other debates but that’s the main one highlighted for the moment.
*Before you read any further, consider the fact of Him having a Name before the creation of man. What language did the Father and Son use before the creation of the universe? Keep that in mind when there is a debate about the Name.*
Essentially there is never a need to have such debates and furthermore it doesn’t make sense to participate in such debates if you don’t have a relationship with the Son of the Almighty Father. Relationship is defined as the way in which two or more concepts, objects, or people are connected, or the state of being connected. Christ is the only Way your state of being can be connected to the Almighty Father. Therefore if you do not have a relationship with the Son then you do not have a relationship with His Father. The only way you can understand the true meaning of the Name that’s above all names is through a relationship with Son whom is the Name that’s above all names not via theology, not via ideology, not your country’s language, nor just by simply reading the Bible. Without a relationship with the Name that’s above all names, the true meaning of the Name that’s above all names will be a mystery to you.
Who is the Son of the Almighty Father?
However, the Name that’s above all names is not a mystery to those that know Him. The Name that’s above all names is within the Almighty Father which means it is supernaturally powerful. You have to be connected to it to experience its supernatural power and meaning. Those that have experienced the power of the Almighty Father have also experienced the power within the Name that’s above all names too. The Name that’s above all names allows Believers to experience and be utilized to bring forth miracles, signs, and wonders. Instead of using ideologies and other doctrine, we must use the Bible to help us with understanding the Name that’s above all names. The Bible says in John 10:30, “I and my Father are one”. This is one of the most important verses in the Bible as it helps with knowing the divinity of the Son as He is within the Father. The Son existed before the foundation of the earth because He and the Almighty Father are one. That insight should help to highlight the relevance of the Name that’s above all names as He existed before the existence of earth.
Far be it from Believers to omit the fact of the Son existing before the earth because if we do so then we are omitting the relevance of the purpose of the Name that’s above all names in our lives. Let us stay connected to what the Bible says and not ideologies nor watered down teachings that push ungodly agendas. We have to lean completely on the Bible for answers reference the Word. The Name that’s above all names is also the Word as seen in John 1:1-3, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made”. In this we know that the Son was instrumental in the creation of things in the beginning. For it was the Almighty Father that created as seen in Genesis 1:1-2, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters”. The Almighty Father then allowed His Son to assist Him in creation of other things as He said the word “let” thirteen times which was a command to the Son to bring those things forth.
Acknowledgment of the Son’s presence in the beginning is significant to the Name that’s above all names because He is the Name that’s above all names and the Name is the Word and Word is the Father. In knowing the Son, we must maintain a relationship with Him. As seen in the Bible, individuals in the Old Testament didn’t have a relationship with Christ because He had yet to come forth. He hadn’t come forth at that time but there are forty-four Messianic Prophecies of the Son in the Old Testament which obviously speak to His coming. The Old Testament lets us know the coming of the Son and the New Testament provides more insight of the Name that’s above all names.

Those prophecies had to be fulfilled and the New Testament highlights the fulfilling of those forty-four Messianic Prophecies starting in the first book in the New Testament. The Name Jesus is given as it was translated from Iesus (Greek) which derived from Yeshua (Hebrew). In Matthew 1:18 - 25 it reads:
“Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.”
Of great importance is the angel of the Lord appearing and instructing Joseph that child shall be called Jesus (according to English translation). No matter the language utilized it seems as if it should be translated from the Hebrew Name since that’s the Name utilized when He walked upon the earth. As He walked upon the earth doing great things for the Kingdom certain individuals likened Him to other great people in the Bible and some knew He is the Christ as seen in Matthew 16:13 - 16, “When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Matthew 16:13-16 help to highlight that although He did mighty works of the Almighty Father not everyone connected Him to being the Christ. Those that didn’t have a relationship with Him couldn’t properly connect Him to the Almighty Father. This is why we must have a relationship with the Son so the Father can release revelations to us like He let it be known to Peter.
There are many other verses that mention the importance and benefits of being within the Name that’s above all names. Listed below are a few of the verses to help show the significance of the Name that’s above all names.
Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
Mark 16:17, “And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues;”
Luke 10:17, “And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.”
John 14:13 – 14, “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”
Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Acts 2:38, “And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
Acts 4:12, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
Acts 4:30, “While you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”
Revelation 19:16, “On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.”
The previous verses show the many benefits and the importance of the Name that’s above all names. Even though there are countless reasons why everyone should be or should want to be within the Name, we can’t overlook the authority, respect, and power that are within the Name that’s above all names as seen in Philippians 2:9-11.
“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Thus far, in the previous mentioned verses reference the relevance, holiness, power and authority associated to the Name that’s above all names there shouldn’t be a soul wanting to be absent of it. However, there are many individuals that choose to not receive the Name, some that teach falsely of the Name, some that are lukewarm in following the Name, and some that do things not pleasing to Him but they profess that they are Believers of the Name as seen in Matthew 7:21-23.
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
He knows His children and He will bless us for eternity and deal with others accordingly. As we see in many locations in the New Testament, He had encounters with demons. They respect and fear His power and authority because they are aware that He can destroy them or cast them away. There is one particular verse that highlights the importance of being within the Name that’s above all names when demons come up against you. This encounter is found in Acts 19:13 – 16.
“Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.”
In Acts 19:13-16, although they said the Name that’s above all names they were defeated because they didn’t abide in the Name and the Name was not within them thus they were empty of that supernatural treasure of God. The demons knew this and went forth with no restraints nor worries thus the individuals paid for their negligence. There are many individuals of today that operate like those individuals in Acts 19:13-16 and they keep meeting the same fate as those individuals in Acts 19:13-16.
You would think that since there are great examples such as Acts 19:13-16 there wouldn’t be people of today operating carelessly but it is still happening today. The Almighty Father has bestowed upon others and myself revelations after revelations to help enlighten souls to the significance of the Name that’s above all names but we can’t force feed them the truth. In as much revelations that are available for everyone, there will still be debates because some individuals don’t really care about having a relationship with the Name that’s above all names more than proving their points or pushing personal agendas. When they realize that it’s not about their translations, ideologies, nor what they deem is the Name that’s above all names they will not participate in debates over which Name should be utilized as the Name that’s above all names. There have been miracles, signs, and wonders completed in many of the translated Names to prove that the connection is deeper than the Names you see on the surface.
“At times, the book of Acts refers to baptism “in the name of Jesus” (Acts 2:38), “in the name of the Lord Jesus” (Acts 10:48) and “in the name of the Lord” (Acts 10:48). Additionally, Galatians 3:27 states that we are baptized “into Christ.” However, not one of these verses contradicts or invalidates Christ’s instruction in Matthew 28:19 to baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Concerning these phrases, consider also Paul’s insight in Ephesians 3:14-15, that “the whole family in heaven and earth is named” after “the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Unknown)
The Answer

As seen in previous portions of this article, the titles and names associated to the Son are unique. Most importantly, is the Son knowing who you are if you have accepted Him as Lord & Saviour over your life. He obviously knows that people of various backgrounds are going to utilize translated Names that are associated to Him. Becoming a Believer allows for an awesome love connection that lasts forever to which we must do our part in spreading His Word to help others develop relationships with the Name that’s above all names. Your relationship with Him is your connection to Him and your connection is more important than a translation of the Name that’s above all names (as seen in Acts 19:13-16).
"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me" John 10:27
“While on the subject, we should point out that Matthew’s words add some unique understanding in referring to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. In Matthew 28:19, the Greek for “in” is eis and can mean “into,” which is the appropriate way to understand it in this instance. That is, sinners are baptized into the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. This implies that before coming to the point of baptism, the person has first learned about God the Father, His Son and the Holy Spirit. Then, through baptism, the person enters into a personal relationship with God the Father and the Son, thereby receiving “the family name” of God (see Ephesians 3:14-15). (LH&T)
The phrase “in the name of” means “by the authority of.” Whether “in the name of Jesus Christ” or “in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” the meaning is the same. Either way, it means that when the apostles baptized someone, they were doing so by God’s authority. (LH&T)”
Our connection to the Name is a spiritual umbilical cord in which the supernaturally enriched blood of Christ Jesus flows to us saving and empowering us now and forever. To this, those that are not connected have no personal witness to miracle, signs, and wonders worked through the Name thus they waste time jousting about which Name is the Name that’s above all names. This is why we must abide in Him.
How true it is that we must be grounded within the Name to experience its supernatural impact. To be grounded within anything is to be held within it thus I associated being grounded in the Name as we are grounded within gravity. Gravity’s attributes are similar to the Name that’s above all names (and the Almighty Father and love) because we can’t see it nor physically touch it, it’s powerful, it keep millions connected, it will never let you go, you can't hide from it, and although the name gravity is translated in many languages around the world we know what it is because we are in it.
Although all these things that have been highlighted, please know that there has to be a relationship with the Name that’s above all names for you to feel His heavenly impact. Let’s stay in Him so we can stay within the Father, so we can stay eternal, so we can stay victorious, and so we can stay covered in His Blood. In doing these things, there will be no need to debate over which Name to use in representation of the Son of the Almighty Father.
If you bite into an apple and taste it you will forever know the taste of an apple. If you are in another country and they use a translated name to identify an apple, you will still identify it as an apple because you know from tasting it that it is an apple. In the same manner, if you have tasted the Spirit of Christ we know who Christ is no matter the translations (Christ, Messiah, Yeshua, Iesous, Jesus, Yahushua, and other translated Names) because we have a relationship with Him. When your confession of Him as your Lord & Saviour and your faith in Him connects to His power then the relationship is formed. Then you will be able to taste and see that He is good. Amen
“O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.”
Psalm 34:8
Lastly, please don’t be so religiously entrenched nor methodologically stuck nor theologically noisy nor ideologically lost that you neglect the fact of His Name existing before there was any language on earth. The angel of Lord brought the first translation from the Father to be utilized by humans to which we received Yeshua, Yahushua, Iesous, Jesus, and other translated names. Miracle, signs, and wonders were performed in those Names with testimonies and various forms of evidence as confirmation so how then can there be and should there be any debates about which Name is the correct Name. This clearly proves that a relationship with Him is the first step and then a properly translated Name is sufficient. A translation is not the answer, a relationship is!!! Amen
Do you believe that the Almighty Father sent His only begotten Son? Do you believe that Christ came and died on the cross then rose on the third day? If your answers are yes and yes then please ask Him to be Lord & Saviour in and over your life. If you are already a Believer, please repent and recommit if need be and ask Him to create in you a clean heart and mind.
Amen
